NKI Science Day 2024

The wide range of excellent research happening at NKI was showcased at our annual Science Day on April 30th in the Miki Kohn Conference Room. The event began with a Lifetime Achievement Talk on Perceptual and Cognitive Deficits in Severe Mental Illness by Pamela Butler, PhD. This was followed by shorter talks given by Maggie NKI Science Day 2024

NKI’s Most Highly Cited Researchers

This year, three NKI investigators have been recognized for their high-impact research. Ralph Nixon, MD, PhD, F. Xavier Castellanos, MD, and Michael P. Milham, MD, PhD, appear on the 2023 list of Highly Cited Researchers compiled by Clarivate. Dr. Nixon joins Drs. Castellanos and Milham, both of whom have appeared on the list every year since 2014. Mark Klinger, DVM, Receives Lifetime Achievement Award

Dr. Mark Klinger was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Metro New York Branch – American Association for Laboratory Animal Science (MNYBAALAS). This award is presented to an MNYBAALAS member of 25 or more consecutive years, who has, for at least five of those years served as an officer/council or committee member.

Dr. Helen Scharfman Receives Javits Neuroscience Investigator Award

The Javits Award is a conditional, seven-year research grant given to scientists for their superior competence and outstanding productivity.
