Alan Díaz, Ph.D.
Alan Díaz is a Research Scientist in Neuroscience at the Nathan Kline Institute for Psychiatric Research in New York. He earned his PhD in Computer Science from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland. His research focuses on the analysis of electrophysiological signals from the mammalian brain, the simulation of neural networks, and the application of artificial intelligence to the processing and analysis of neuroscientific data, with an emphasis on clinical applications in mental and neurological health.
From 2021 to 2024, Dr. Díaz was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Krembil Brain Institute, University Health Network, Toronto, Canada, where he developed artificial intelligence methods for the detection and localization of seizures in patients with drug-resistant epilepsy.
He has published fifteen peer-reviewed scientific articles and one book chapter. His work has also been presented at international conferences and scientific meetings across North America, Europe, and Asia.
