Melissa Breland, M.A.

Melissa Breland, MA, is a psychologist and research scientist with over 15 years of research experience. She received her Master’s Degree in Psychology at Marist College. Ms. Breland is an expert in adult psychiatric diagnosis and oversees training programs for adult diagnostic evaluation institute-wide. She has specific expertise in assessment of schizophrenia and autism spectrum disorders, maintaining research-reliable proficiencies in gold-standard assessments for these disorders. Ms. Breland supervises the general clinical research intern in addition to overseeing departmental compliance with privacy practices, the Institutional Review Board, and federal and state regulations on research implementation including clinical trials research. Ms. Breland is also active in community-based mental health advocacy.
