Ying Jiang, Ph.D.
Dr. Ying Jiang graduated from the University of Science and Technology of China with B.S, and obtained her Ph.D. from Binghamton University-SUNY. She joined Center for Dementia Research at NKI in 1997, and is now a research assistant professor at NYU School of Medicine and a research scientist at NKI.
Dr. Jiang’s main research interest is to understand the role of the endosomal-lysosomal system in neurodegenerative diseases. Specifically, she studies the dysfunction of the neuronal endosomal-lysosomal system seen in Alzheimer’s disease using Down syndrome and amyloid precursor protein over-expression mouse models.
